Hi all!

I'm worried about my new monstera. It was delivered 10 days ago and I haven't watered it since it arrived because the soil was still so moist. Yesterday it occurred to me that these spots on the leaves, which were there when it arrived, might be indicative of an issue with the plant. I did some research and it looks like it could be a fungal problem? As you can see in the photos, it's affecting new growth. What can I do to help my plant?

Hi mgpnw,

I had the exact same thing happening with my monstera and you're correct, it's a fungus problem. I used neem oil on the leaves and it cleared it up. I recommend going with a 100% cold pressed solution because that will contain the highest amount of azadirachtin which will clear up that fungus. The one I used specifically is from The Watering Vine 100% Organic Neem Oil. I preferred this one over other brands because I tried a few "pre mixed" solutions that simply did not work.

Give that a try and let us know how it goes!
