I grow my lilies in containers. In one container is Lilium Bright Diamond. For the first time I have offsets and they are practically on the top of the soil . We won't have a frost until probably in November. But what should I do about the offsets? I would like to save them if possible. I have attached a pic that I cropped so they look much larger than they really are. I have about 6 offsets.

Busy building a lily collection...
I would either move them to another pot (or put in the ground) and cover the top of the little bulbs with about 1/4" of new soil (so that the leaves only are above ground), or if the container that they are presently in is large enough either move them a bit or just leave them where they are and put about 1/4" of new soil on top of them. The little bulbs will be pretty hardy so you shouldn't have to worry about severe frosts if you are in Zone 8b. This is how lilies propagate in nature, as well as setting seeds, so these should grow into larger bulbs over time. They will begin to flower in two years time most probably. Hope this helps.
