Have you noticed that every hose product on the store shelf is Galvanically incompatible with every other parts. Hose faucets on your house are almost always brass. Any hose nozzle I can find has the female hose threads made of aluminum or pot metal (a zinc alloy) - both are either silver or gray in color. Hoses are now widely available with one or both end connections made of aluminum. Where I live on the coast the city water and well water have high TDS because of salt water intrusion into our city and private wells. So, if you screw an an aluminum ended hose to your faucet OR a brass ended hose onto a pot metal nozzle, in 2-3 weeks they will weld themselves together. Simple solution - isolate the dis-similar metals. Google search "Amazon Cosweet 12 pack 3/4" plastic garden hose shut off", these are about $1 each. Use at each connection just for isolation with the valve always on. I have MS Corrosion Engineering degree and no connection with the product recommended but am frustrated with the geniuses at Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, and others who assume that they are presenting us with good products.
