Hi everyone!
I have a chinotto tree (citrus myrtifolia) -which is dieing inside, btw- and i've bought it in last spring, from a nursery. It had about 7 chinottos on it, they were orange and ready to harvest. Since i harvested them, in April, it bloomed and put on 10 chinottos, but they grow... as fast as a snail.
Since April until now, late October, they barely grew a bit, they are so tiny that i think they'll be ready to harvest on 2023, not even next year.
My question is, why?
I've read online that citrus trees need some time to grow fruits, but that long? I've kept it outside in the summer, it got 12 hrs of sun/day, i fertilised it and watered it only when the soil was dry on the top. It got heat, it got light, it got everything, and chinottos are like pearles. I uploaded a photo of it. Please ignore the branches without leaves, it suffered a severe leaf drop since i moved it inside, and now i moved it in my cellar, so it will hibernate until spring, because i don't want it to die. All advice is welcomed. Thank you!
