Not sure why you think my suggestion is funny.
I do not know which Ulmus sp you have over there but here the flowers come before the leaves on bare branches.
They are tiny, red and can be very easily missed.
Below is Ulmus glabra.
Sorry I do not have sufficient knowledge to take id any further...but to me the leaf looks very typical of elm.

I agree Its an Elm of some sort but I'm not taking guesses on which one either.
