I spent four hours (maybe five) looking through all of the pictures, picking my favorites, and then voting on the three in each category that I liked best. Everyone did such an awesome job! There are a lot of GREAT photographers as well as gardeners in this association. I love looking at beautiful pictures. And being able to cast my votes like this was really fun!! I even got my wife involved in the project. She sat with me and gave me her opinion on some of the categories. Keep up the great work! Thumbs up Thumbs up Thumbs up Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! I tip my hat to you. I tip my hat to you.

John,
You must be more efficient/decisive than I. It took me two days. At one point I almost completely ran out my phone battery before I remembered to plug it in while I was enjoying the photos. Hilarious!

Actually, I was kind of caught off guard. This is the first photo contest since I joined this spring. It wasn't until I read someone else say they had voted that I remembered that voting had started. So I went over to the page. There were so many beautiful pictures that I just couldn't stop looking. The star feature really helps narrow the process. I just went through and looked at all of the pictures in a category first, then went back over it and picked the ones I liked the best and then took my time with the finals. Even my wife enjoyed the process. We did it on our desktop computer. I could NEVER do it on my phone! I would have been out of there in a few minutes if I tried it on my phone Crying Whistling Angel Shrug! .

Hello, John & Everyone!
It took me over four hours on my desktop, as well, to vote in all the categories this year. If I would have tried that on my phone, I would not only have gone blind, I would have lost my mind! Kudos to you DraDiana, for your courage and fortitude! (Stick-with-it-ness.) Looking at all those amazing photos was like getting a sneak peek into God's world... which is the world of beautiful life. We have only two eyes; but when we get to see all these incredible photos, it is as if we suddenly found ourselves with hundreds or thousands of eyes- each seeing beauty in a different place...in a different way.
How blessed we all are to be a part of something as beautiful and healing as the National Gardening Association. In these times of unprecedented anxiety and stress in our world, here is an oasis of grounding beauty and remembrance of the fact that GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL, no matter how things may seem when we hear the news, or go out shopping, or listen to the forecasts of what is to be.
As long as our foundation is Jesus Christ, the world could shake itself apart and we would still be on "Solid Ground." I love God's flowers, and I love His sunsets especially; they are never the same in any two evenings. No matter where we look around us- there is evidence that we are loved.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in this year's photo contest! You did an amazing job! Remember, when we look through the lens of a camera, we are seeing through the eyes of God. Acorn Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Thank You! Smiling Smiling Smiling

I so totally agree with your assessment! Everyone did an awesome job reflecting the beauty of God's handiwork. I am amazed that He allows us to "procreate" in our gardens what He so lovingly created in the first garden! Merry Christmas to all and remember, that Jesus is the reason for the season. I tip my hat to you.
