Not strong for me. Almost no fragrance in the cold December weather (46 F at the moment). I was thinking that it sometimes had the anise/myrrh scent and I found a note on one of my HMF photos confirming that. My sense is that the fragrance is variable and ephemeral. Mine is recovering from years of neglect, so it might be more consistent with better culture. The flowers can be quite beautiful. And, it has almost disappeared from commerce, so there's that.
