The yellow berries are so nice but I don't know what the shrub is. I saw it today at the San Antonio Botanical gardens in Texas. Does anyone know what this shrub is?

If Yaupon Holly came in yellow, I'd call it that.

My first thought was that it reminded me of Ilex vomitoria too. I found two in our database with yellow berries:
Yaupon Holly (Ilex vomitoria 'Saratoga Gold')
Yaupon Holly (Ilex vomitoria 'Yawkey')

Wow, plantladylin and porkpal, thanks so much. I didn't realize that some yaupon hollies had yellow berries. That's what I'd thought when I saw the berries--that it looked just like a yaupon holly. I really think you hit the nail on the head.

Thank You!

Well, I should've too! I was just unaware of the yellow-berried yaupons! I learned something today. Smiling
