I want to take this opportunity and thank you all for an abundance of always helpful, positive, and motivating feedback, for many and acorns. I have followed the discussions in the forum passively for some years but I am so happy that I finally decided to take a more active stance and to join the conversation this year even if I'm living so far away and my English is far from perfect. Your encouragement was a real blessing

Here in Austria we just passed the 4th covid wave in November/December with extremely high infection rates and a saddening high death toll - now just before Christmas the situation improves for which I am really grateful but trouble is ahead and we fear that due to Omikron the 5th wave is just around the corner. Thankfully family and friends all got fully vaccinated (three times) and so we feel quite safe but our thoughts and wishes go out to those who are not so lucky and who had to suffer from this devious illness or who had lost loved ones.

But I want to close with a positive outlook - let's not forget that there will (!) be another daylily summer for us the enjoy and take pride in. So please take care wherever you live and stay well and safe so we all can enjoy it together!

Seasons greetings to all our daylily friends, it's been a great year for beautiful photos of all your lovely daylilies in 2021 and may we see many more in 2022.
