RJ, no, not near enough to drive. In any case, I've made a plan. Not to go back to this chiro, but wait until I have money for the x rays the new chiro wants that my Medicare plan pays for. I have an appointment with my PCP on the 21st, and since she is an osteopath she may well adjust me or give me a massage. She certainly knows how, and she's the kind of doctor that would do that. May she never retire!

Our anniversary is now an infamous day when traitors tried to overthrow our legally elected government. And we can't go out to eat without risking catching Delta or Omicron or flu. More people dying every day, seems like. More hospital admissions every day if they even have beds to fill or enough personnel to care for them. Nice going, Governor. You got what you wanted.

I ended up picking up barbecue for dinner. So good! DH ate two plates, unusual for him.

Tired of the pain. I did look sciatic pain up on the web and found some meds that hopefully will help, also it was suggested that physical therapy produce good results. I'm going to my PCP Monday. Two meds I'm interested in are anti depression meds; one a tricyclic called noretriptalline, another is a SSRI called Cymbalta. Another recommendation was Neurontin, but I had a severe reaction to that when I took it for shingles.
Just hoping for any relief from this. I'm down to 4 hours or less of sleep at night because the pain is more severe at night.,

I could be grumpy about this cold rainy weather, pretty snow being washed away leaving nasty mud,, .. but what's the use.. so I'm cleaning, organizing, cooking, eating, playing dance music.. oh and planting seeds under lights.
Plant it and they will come.

Generally grumpy because so many people say they're going to do something, commit to something and then back out. Ok, I get it, sometimes life gets in the way. But don't back out just because you didn't think before you committed.
So many folks just don't seem to be thinking nowadays. Yeah, it's hard to do critical and decisive thinking. But you can put yourself up the creek without the paddle by reacting instead of acting.
We have a large brain for a reason.

I'm grumpy about people who talk the talk and don't walk the walk. Which may be related to that. Shut your face and do the thing. Don't just yak at me about what would be brilliant for everybody (else) to do. Rolling my eyes.
Plant it and they will come.

I used to work with a gal..she worked the shift before me.. aside from leaving a million things undone with regard to our shared patients she would say " oh I think that ventilator has a leak..I tested it and it failed the leak test...if the ER calls you won't be able to use that ventilator and it's the last one available.. " . and by the way, the blood gas machine has a code alarm on it." And there isn't any oxygen tubing in the intensive care clean hold for you.. you will have to go to the storeroom." She would find all these issues and then leave it for the next shift who had to first prioritize the patients she left with things undone ... she would rather go look at a chest X-ray as opposed to clearing the phlegm from the lung that the X-ray revealed.. I wanted to body slam her ... I should have .. grrrrrrrrr

My grump is I went to the store this evening to get heavy cream...Nope
No garlic.. no onions either... and no salad fixings ....
I am a Sicilian ... these things are essential to me!!!!

I just saw on the news about the empty shelves in grocery stores, now they're blaming it on employees being out sick with Omicrom. I did notice the other day WalMarts shelves were rather empty, I did find everything I needed and I thought the empty shelves were due to the time I went, much later than I usually do. Someone on the pet thread mentioned a cat food shortage, and some stores limiting the number of cans of cat food purchased.
So sick and tired of Covid. And thinking why are we blaming EVERYTHING that goes wrong on it?

Empty shelves, some of that here too. I expect the peak to subside soon. S Africa was a bout a month from beginning the big peak to a sharp decline .and I expect a bunch of people are thinking I'm an idiot but that's ok. I can have my opinion.
Plant it and they will come.

Sally, I would say your guess about it is just as good as anyone else's - including the "experts." (It's pretty hard for anyone to actually be an "expert" about something that was totally new, keeps evolving, and then throw in the variables of how many people are/are not vaxed, as well as how many are taking any sort of precautions, etc. It just feels like every man, woman and child for him or her self to me Sighing!

We went for groceries earlier today, not many people shopping when we were there but definitely a higher percentage wearing masks Thumbs up . A few things missing from the shelves, but not too significantly - it seems to vary from one shopping trip to the next, maybe we just hit it after things had been stocked today.
