Hey all, I see the swap is set for St. Patrick's Day. I'll be traveling with my oldest as a chaperone on his field trip to DC that day and the following 2 days. Aside from missing out on the 'choice cuts' does anyone foresee that being an issue or should I back out and join up a swap next year since I can't seem to participate in a swap this yet.

I don't see it as a problem. I had to pass up the last day of our last swap because it was the first day of a new bible study group.
Is there anyone you can get to do the swap for you on those days? Or just take your laptop and log in for a few minutes each night to get your top picks?
Hope you figure out how to work it out so you don't miss out on the good stuff.

I've used my phone before. Also, there will still probably be a lot of good stuff even after others do their picking that first night. I mean you could do your picking anytime that night and still probably get lots of good seeds. I hope it works out for you too!

If you can do it on your phone or a laptop, here's a couple of strategies I have used (unless the kids are banned from using their phones and you can't either):
First night - five minute "bathroom break" - I just ducked out of a gathering. Got my 3 dibs and returned - no one had a clue.
Another time, mid swap, told the friends I was with at supper what I was doing and had a cheering section of two as I snagged my dibs.
The younger set will probably get a kick out of you swapping seeds online. Share the joy.
