It seems a bit frivolous to post about daylilies when the world is in such strife. For a few years I have watched with tears, the terrible weather and fires in US, the shootings, and COVID. I hope the health workers will soon have their nightmare eased.
Around Christmas 2019 I got a flu and had awful post viral symptoms for over a year. Thankfully the zombie brain, weakness and aches have receded. I got a new laptop, and my eyes work better now
After a few years of unusually high temperatures and very little rain, I lost many plants. but a few daylilies that I thought long gone have resurrected with the copious rain of this past 8 months.
HELENA SEABIRD, in a large pot and with a bit less rust than it used to get, flowered for a few months. It is a beautiful flower., and withstands heavy rain and strong sun very well. First pic is shaded.
But the longest bloomer has been COSMOPOLITAN, which I have in the ground and also a large pot
CRIMSON ICON is also long blooming.
ALMA CANGAMI, tho not spectacular was one of the earliest to say 'I am still here'.
