I have 3 Amaryllis plants that bloomed beautifully between late November and early January. After flowering, I cut the flower stalks down, but left the leaves. Since then, I continue to water the plants a bit about once a week and feed them with a bit of miracle grow about once a month. Over time on all 3 plants some of the leaves began to yellow and shrivel up. I let them be but cut off the leaves when they had completely shriveled up. There are still green leaves on all the plants, just less than before. My question is -- will they begin to GROW new leaves again? The plants seem healthy enough ... just not as leafy as before. As soon as the weather gets warm enough, I intend to put the plants outside in a partly sunny location for the Summer. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

They will grow a lot this summer. Most of mine are down to one old leaf but are starting to grow new ones. Next year, it will bloom in later winter/ealy spring so its current behavior will make more sense to you.

Daisy,
Thank you so much for the information. I'm good when it comes to outdoor plants and flowers - BUT with indoor plants ... I tend to be the Kiss of Death! lol
Thanks again,
Jane

Hi, Jane,
Transition to as much sun as you want and give plenty of water and fertilizer, they should grow well over summer. I have put them in the garden for summer. Thumbs up
Plant it and they will come.
