I planted this flower in 2019, in a pretty nice location on Upper Daylily Hill. But it really hasn't done much. No blooms in 2020, and I only saw five blooms in 2021. Maybe I missed some? But anyway, completely unimpressed so far. Maybe this year ( the famous third season).

I have three clumps of Mardi Gras Parade in the gardens. They have been in my garden for over nine years. Beautiful flower presentation on the clumps. Blooms consistently every year. It blooms during the early to mid-season in my garden. A definite front of the border plant under twenty four inches tall consistently.

I had this one a few years. It bloomed and grew quite well. Did not bloom a long time, but while it was in bloom, it was covered with blooms that made a wonderful show. I divided it to share, and for some reason it never did well after that. Tried moving it and it did not return the next year. Definitely a front if the border plant.

This is not a full report. I bought Mardi Gras Parade last fall (2021) from Sun Dragon Daylilies; I bought it largely because of Brian Reeder's assessment that it was rust-resistant as he had used it in his hybridizing program.

Since then it has increased from four fans to six, so it seems to be a fast increaser. I will add more later after it blooms.

Edit: The plant has bloomed and so far, it is a winner. Every bloom has been perfect, and there is no sign of rust so far. Love this one in the front of the border.

I've had this particular type for about 10 years. I bought it at Home Depot, oddly enough. It's done very well. I have separated it and then moved those new clumps several times and it has continued to bloom.

I appreciate its short height because it allows me to have daylilies in the front of the bed (as well as mid and back).

I planted this one in 2017 and have only seen a couple blooms on it since. Last year there were none but we had a very dry and harsh winter that affected or killed dozens of my plantings. This hasn't been a real stellar performer for me but it persists in coming up every year.

2023 update…Mardi Gras Parade is back! This year, it bloomed from July 9-20 with 6 blooms. Not a lot but a lot better than none.
