I can't think of the name of this. Can someone remind me so I can tell my neighbor?

TIA

Most likely a xGasteraloe, with Aristaloe as one of the parents. There are several similar looking plants in this group, including named cultivars, and they come up from time to time on the succulent forum. But the care is the same as the rest of their kin, which is to say strong light, good drainage, and regular water when the soil goes dry at depth. Pictures to compare (the second would be one of the presumed parents):

I am seeing a distinct change in shape from the side view. The lower leaves point outward (mostly) while the ones above them point upward. I suspect this change is due to reduced light in recent months. Admittedly winter tends to be a dark time (at least in relative terms) but the key is that the plant should "see" the sun for hours a day, year round, if possible. Right in front of the sunniest window in the house, ideally. Outdoors is another matter, but as a house plant the more light, the better.

The plant is very big for the size of the pot and it would enjoy having more space in the near future. Wait for the soil to dry before repotting, select a pot that's about 2 inches wider and has holes at the bottom, and wait a week after repotting before watering for the first time.

Thank you. Yes, she brings inside for winter and she somehow has no windows where it gets enough light. I told her it was starting to etiolate. We also picked out a new pot for her (it has cracked this one) and she will repot this week. She also told me she pull the pups off and tosses them! Crying I asked her to give them to me from now on. Hopefully it can just hold on for one more month without etiolating any more. I will offer to overwinter it for her next year Whistling
