Hi,

I live in Dubai, I've recently bought some plumeria trees which were bushy and green but my garden chopped them right back as per the photo, please could someone advise if this tree will ever recover from this? I'm seeing new leaves but nothing around the large branch stumps it now has.

Usually what will happen if a Plumeria branch gets damaged is that the 'eyes' (old leaf scars) will produce new growth point and new branches. This happens when the tree gets damaged naturally, and when it gets pruned. Sometimes, its done purposefully to make a tree that ha snot branched, branch. A tree will produce 1- 4 new branches from being pruned
