Please give me your opinion.
In the early morning light the cast is much more blue. The flower fades to a pink after it opens. And there is the issue of how the camera interprets. But I think the colors are close to what the natural eye sees depending on the light. I am growing Frosted Sapphire so I know it is not that one. But I believe it to be one of Niswonger's. There were about 4 similar all with in the same year or two.
Thanks, Ruth

Is this a TB? or shorter?
It's hard to tell from your photos, but do your violet beards have any orange in the throat?

Look at the "fading" color description of "Magic". Quote: "Orchid pink standards, fading to pink; orchid pink to pink white falls". I think the initial color of yours could be described as orchid.

Thanks Daisy! I will check that out.
The blue shade is early in the morning do the light has something to do with how orchid it looks. And yes the beard is orange in the throat.
You did a great job explaining the light on an another post. 😀. It is a TB Very large fans/leaves. Good grower. Strong stems. Bought in 2005

It is not Magic. The colors on the haft don't quite match. Next year
I am going to remove a petal and photograph that. Unfortunately I only had one bloom this year. It grows well and I would love to share. Most people want those with names. Anyway, i love it. But in general I love them all .
Thanks everyone!

Yes, I thought those hafts might not match up, but it was the only pink in the database that spoke of "fading to" a different color, so I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. I hope you figure it out.
