I bought an Orchid Cactus from a store online.

The leaves look like bad arugula.

I store on-site horticulturalist said he saw nothing wrong with it.

I don't mind that this one lone leaf is ugly, which I explained. I don't want to return it even if it isn't perfect, bc it will grow and I can cut it off eventually.

I just want to know, is it infested with an invisible thing? Or did the thing die already or move on, like a slug? I just wanted a second opinion.

Should I throw it out? I have other plants and don't need them to look like this.

Thanks!

Looks like minor past bug that the plant has moved on from.

I've seen similar from slugs and snails.

Tons of snails here, I'm plucking them out of my jades all the time.
I just toss them back into the yard.
If I leave mail on my front porch for a couple nights they eat it.

But no, I think whatever caused that was a while ago. Guessing.

Hi, I saw a slug in the box it came in from when I ordered it online. It was a small, black, and slender- looking slug. I typed it into Google and it looked like slug damage. Now I feel sure it must be, because of your post - so I will try to keep this new plant of mine. Thank you!

Of course.

Not 100% but it's a good guess.

Very nice looking plant!
