I posted some of these last year but had a few more bloom for the first time this year. I've also experimented on this bed. I'm trying a bit of hugelkultur. I divided all the irises and I planted some rotted logs underneath the soil. Maybe it's just maintenance or maybes there's some correlation but I have no fungal spotting with any of these iris.

Hey Evelyn, they don't have names they were grown from seed. I just made a bunch of crosses when I moved and took the seeds with me. These are mostly the same ones I shared pics of last year with a two or three who are blooming for the first time. I didn't keep track of the parent plants unfortunately. I just did it for fun.

Well, they are garden worthy nevertheless. Very pretty.

If I had read the title to your post, I wouldn't have asked such a ____ question! Hilarious!

This one is my favourite. I love the smokey tones and flush of colour on the hafts and it has a rim on the falls as well Lovey dubby

Very Pretty!!! Also, I never heard of burying an old log in the garden but it makes sense that it would condition the soil!!!

Rebekah you sure got a lot of nice variation in colors. I usually don't get the fungal spots on the leaves until after bloom time, then it comes on it seems here.

Thanks Evelyn, Elsa, Michelle, Robin and Tom.

Sorry I meant to respond much earlier.

Elsa it's a fun experiment.

Tom, I get lots of rain in early spring. My other bed of irises gets spotting very early. I'm not sure if it's variety, or just more difficult conditions for them.
