Looks like you got your Orange, FPF! Mine are small compared to yours. I've had it for a couple of years. I think I got it from a fellow collector in WA. Where did you get yours from? I've never seen it for sale anywhere, but I don't have access to every selller.

I got it from Sempervivum Patch, and it was a last minute addition to my order as it had been added to the list after I had turned my order in. I was surprised by the size of the chicks as the description said it's a small plant (not complaining Lovey dubby ).

There are quite a few cultivars still on her list for sale, although Adamina isn't on the front page right now, so may be sold out. I can testify to the health of her plants. All of mine look great. The only reason any of them look rough is that it took three days to pot them up so a couple of them started to look etiolated.

Honestly, I thought they looked pink, so I wondered if they'll get as orange for me. Do yours go through a pink phase as well, Bev?

Not exactly a "pink" phase...more like a "brownish red (coppery-red)" phase??

Thank You!

No, don't make that assumption. My growing conditions are most likely very different from yours. All my plants are in 2-4 inch pots and majority are in morning sun. So that alone would account for some differences in coloring. Only the big pots of Noids on the other side of the townhouse are in afternoon sun. I didn't feed my plants (except for the sandy loam in the plant mix) for 4 years and just started this year with organic matter feeding. The lack of regular feeding would affect the size of the potted semps. Don't get me started on different sizes of pots...

The pot mine are in is about four inches in diameter, so maybe not as much difference as you may think at this point.
But I take your meaning and agree with what you said about different conditions.
Individual microclimate and cultural (whether agri- or horti-) practices can make a HUGE difference, even in clonal propagation where plants could be expected to be the same.
