It's very showy and generally blooms well. I do recall one season of shorter scapes. Haven't had long enough to assess bud count, though it hasn't overwhelmed.

I planted Thundercat in the Fall of 2020. Last year, it did very nicely, blooming from July 2-20, with 18 flowers. In the Fall of 2021, it was up to 7 scapes but this Spring 2022, I only counted 6, so it lost one over the winter.

Thundercat is a big showy flower with a lot of splash. I planted it near Wild and Wonderful which is similar enough to be confusing. But they sure look great when they are blooming!

THUNDERCAT is a very nice daylily for my area. This is my 6th season for this plant and it has increased significantly in that time--actually needs dividing next season. It reaches 30" here-shorter than registered--with a bud count of 15 on 4 way branching- very good for here. The blooms are consistent in color, large and striking.

2022…a bad season for Thundercat. I had almost no bloom ( 3 flowers), not sure what's going on. The fan count is down as well, clocking in at 4 fans this October. Sure hope it rallies!

2023 update…nope, Thundercat is not happy. I only spotted two blooms. However, it did put on an extra fan to end at five. Maybe next year?
