I'm new to this site and may, over the next few months, ask some dumb and possibly redundant questions (i.e., already have been answered.) I am a retired IT professional (started my career as a COBOL programmer using punchcards) and retired in 2015. I try very hard to find answers prior to asking questions, but slip-ups are inevitable.

Here is dumb question #1. I use my mail folders as an internal database. Currently, accessing Tree-Mail from the upper right requires several clicks to get to the contents of my folders. Would it be possible to add the Trail-Mail folder hierarchy to the user Homepage (similar to forums?)

Hi Lance 👋 I never did COBOL but I got my start programming basic on the TI 99/4a and that's something. 😂

I'm not sure what you mean about using the mail folders as an internal database. Are you storing information that you need quick and regular access to? That doesn't sound like a typical use case for our tree mail system or the folders. They are more meant as a way to organize your mail to keep the inbox somewhat clear, for those who want to do that. Theoretically, yes I could add the folder heirarchy to the homepage but I am hesitant to make a change like that when it's not exactly being asked for by anyone else.

An alternative proposal is that you could use the Custom Links feature (found in your preferences) to add links that appear in your navigation bar. Then everything you want is always one click away no matter where on the site you are.

Dave,

You are right. The current implementation is fine. I was pretty much looking to save a single mouse click and that's being very nit-picky. In the future I will "measure twice and cut once" before I make a request.
