I would like your honest opinion if you think this Dahlia is 'Fire Magic". I got the Dahlia 'Fire Magic' about 7-8 years ago and am not real sure if this is it. I greatly appreciate anyone looking and letting me know what you think.

These last 2 pictures were taken of a different one in a different pot. Could it also be 'Fire Magic'?

The only other dark Dahlia that I know I have had over the years is 'I'm A Hottie', 'Lover Boy', and 'Wyn's Bewitched'. Could they be one of these?

Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give me.

Hi Jeanne-

Do you already have blooms this year?! I honestly don't think that is Fire Magic. Only grew it one year, but it was really coral and not red at all. Reds are a little more difficult for me to identify as I don't grow too many. I'm a Hottie is more of bright pink/fuchsia and got kicked out the garden here. Loverboy is a semi-cactus, so that doesn't really look like it either. However, you're growing in a zone/climate similar to mine, so there are times that blooms don't look like what they're supposed to due to the heat/humidity/not being the PNW. Maybe someone else will have some ideas.

Thanks Melissa. I appreciate your explanations. Maybe some later blooms will photograph better.
