Currently rooting in a 2" square pot. This beauty will mature with a open rosette with just under a foot spread.

Oh my, that is a nice one. I love that it stays modest in size.

Thanks for the new thread Scott. I really like the Skotaks, most keep the original coloring if they're in good light.

I have gotten no new broms in so long I kind of dropped off here LOL. But recently in a swap meetup we had here I got this...Tillandsia intermedia. Its about 5 ft long if you hold it up. I had to take the photo in sections.

Five feet, wow, that's really a cool find, I've seen them at the Tropiflora booth before, but they sure we're that big.

Love that they grow on your fence like that. If I had a wooden fence I would copy that idea pronto.

Going to try some more kinds of my broms on the fence. I've been setting them in the boots of my Sabal palm for a year with no success. They haven't attached. Keep flopping out even though I wired or tied them in place. Even gave some of them a handful of sphagnum and potting soil to encourage roots.

I've been using my Billbergias, though. Probably others will do better.

@zylvert Very nice collection of bromeliads you have. I do like Aechmea blanchetiana blooms, they last such a long time.
I have wood fences all around my backyard, although my neighbors wouldn't like the bromeliads growing over the fence, they hack my shrubs and trees all the way to the fence, so I'm sure they'd hack up my bromeliads.
I do hang these from the fence, at least they stay on my side. Orchid baskets hooked to the fence work good too.

Some of my bromeliad on the fence in hanging pots, and some stuffed into a tree, and squirrel photo bomb.
