Hello from Australia
I have been a member for a few months now and have delighted in being able to find photos of Iris when I provide a name. I have the opposite problem now. I have my first bloom for this year despite we are in the middle of winter. I thought all my Iris were identified over the years but up until last October they had been off my daily life. Then I found out we had an Iris Farm here in the Riverina NSW and the passion is back. I do remember many years ago that I had a website where I could fill in details of colours of standard and falls etc and up would come answers of likely names
Does something like that still exist. I do remember my conversation with the owner of our local farm and she started it about the same time as I stopped buying new ones. About 10 years ago

I'll move this to the Iris forum and see if anyone has any suggestions (other than posting photos on the Iris forum for possible IDs).

@AuntyBiffy , the link to the NGA iris search page is
https://garden.org/plants/grou... . I would suggest bookmarking it in your web browser because its very useful for numerous reasons. I find myself referring to it almost daily.

In case you are interested in my plight 😁. I finally found the name tucked away as the rhizome was in the garden for a year or two, I expect. It is Solano

Well I got that wrong! When the second flower on the stem bloomed it had the pinkish blush that meant it was Designer Gown and sure enough photos from the previous year identified the very plant in exact same spot!
