I have two large golden euonymous and they are interfering with other shrubs. Just how much is recommended on cutting them back or would you advise to just eliminate them altogether???

Removal is your decision.

The general guideline for hard pruning is to remove no more than a third of a shrub a year, although some varieties can withstand quite a bit of periodic pruning throughout the year. Not certain about the Golden. Best time in your area would be early spring, I'd imagine.

With evergreen euonymus I would guess you can prune as much as you want. I got tired of doing that after 20 years and removed my Manhattan.
Plant it and they will come.
