I bought my Melinda ages ago, in 2001. It was bought as a companion plant to Judith, because at the time, I had an au pair named Judit whose best friend was Melinda. I still have both flowers, even after being moved around the yard.

My Melinda is very hardy and pretty, usually blooming in multiple flowers. This year, she bloomed from July 1- 23, making her an EM. I counted 42 flowers.

I've had My Melinda the longest of all my DLs. It is always a good performer, and aesthetically it has a sweet countenance-a soft, pretty color, and petite stature. The flowers are always perfect.

My Melinda was one of the 1st daylilies I started with, I have had it probably 25 years. I now have 4 large clumps of it, so it really makes a good show while in bloom. Smaller flowers, pretty color that blooms abundantly, this year just short of 4 weeks. It is in the part of the garden that pretty much has to fend for itself. Never gets extra water, fertilizer but continues to multiply and bloom.

I received My Melinda from a friend last year....it is prolific! It is ready to be divided already! Not many establish themselves so readily...particularly since we went from having 9 inches of rain in the 50's for days to 102 heat the day after for weeks. Impressed with the toughness!

Unlike all the other comments I did not have a great experience with My Melinda. I purchased it in 2014 and it didn't bloom until 2018. In 2017 I moved it to a different spot to see if it would like it better there. It did, but I ended up giving it away in 2019 because it couldn't compete with the big bully daylily planted next to it and I didn't have any other spots to move it to.

I have had this plant for just over ten years. It has been reliable and a good performer. Last year I split and moved it to a northeast fence line. It is a fairly small plant so I thought I would try it at the fence line between two posts. I had 10 splits for about 10 feet. So far it looks good. Several of the new splits bloomed this year. I will post a photo later .

2023 update…not a great year for My Melinda, she had less bloom than any year since I began recording info. I think she is being squeezed out in a tough garden with a lot of competition. I'm going to have to do some weeding around there!

Blooming from July 6-20, I only spotted 9 blooms. Crying They are always perfect though…
