Hey Everyone! This is probably a newbie question, please excuse if it is. I have a potted lavender plant out in my garden. It was doing really well until this past week.

On a side note: I generally don't water it, I let the rain take care of watering my outdoor plants.

I live in Virginia and went for a visit to New York for a week, and when I came back, many of the peduncles had turned brown and the spikes had gone limp...Before I left, the plant was flourishing.

I plan on pruning all of the completely dead peduncles and I've removed the spikes that have gone limp. Is there anything else I can do to revive this plant?

Those symptoms could be from either overwatering or underwatering. Figure out which it is and correct the problem. Your lavender needs super well draining soil like cactus mix. If it's still in the peaty mix that comes in most nursery plants then it's retaining too much moisture.

I don't know how often it rains in your area, but potted plants need supplementary water during dry spells. Being confined in a pot, their roots can't stretch out to find moisture like they would in the ground.
