Good Day,
I hope you folks are having a great day! I would like to say that i predominantly have succulents as houseplants i live in an apt. No yard๐Ÿ™๐Ÿคท.
I got stuff like burro's tail, Spiral & Vera Aloe's, Christmas Cactus, Gollum plant, ect. I had inadvertently killed a favorite of my plants using Miracle Grow wrong. It scares me now, i would like a simple, somewhat "foolproof" fertilizer for them that won't hurt them. Cause I know they'd benefit from something. Any suggestions are greatly welcome as I'll admit I'm poorly informed.
Thank You very much for your time๐Ÿ™‚
Frank

Dilute fish emulsion or 15-15-15. The operative word is
dilute

I would think even a houseplant fertilizer at half strength is a good start. When I was looking for something organic I went with seaweed fertilizer.

Cacti and succulents do better with very little, infrequent fertilizer. If you feel like you have to feed them, use quarter strength complete fertilizer only once or twice a year. I use leftover orchid food, diluted way down. Outdoor plants in the ground are never fertilized and do just fine.
Most indoor succulents never get enough light or heat. Add fertilizer, and their growth gets weak, soft and leggy. Generally speaking, a grow light will help your plants a lot more than fertilizer will.

I use liquid fertilizer according to the label instructions, 2-3 times per month, not every watering. Without enough light, fertilizer won't cause blooms or prevent etiolation. As you discovered, too much is not helpful.

One thing to keep in mind is that after a soil change, the new soil can have fertilizer in it. The package should say if it does. In that case, wait about 6 months to start fertilizing that plant.
The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.
