Every year I mulch all my leaves to distribute in my natural areas. Is it safe to do this with all the aphid infested leaves this year? If yes, should I spray the mulched leaves with an insecticide or introduce lady bugs to the areas? Thank you, Pat, Central Texas, zone 8b.

I wouldn't worry about it. Aphids aren't a permanent condition, they come and go whether you are using leaves as mulch/compost or not.

I agree, don't worry.
Plant it and they will come.

I don't agree. Aphids can overwinter in mulch. Although they do come and go, I wouldn't want to start off spring with more of a population than necessary.
