I've had this plant for years and I swear I've never seen these stems growing out in pairs, but they are all over my plant. Should I cut them off? Is it just new growth? It is the end of summer and usually goes through a period of no blooms, but always evergreen.

I have seen them in prior years. Nothing to worry about but watch out for the sap if you decide to cut one or both.

Are they seed pods?

They just look like runners — you may be seeing raindrops!

Being in the same family as Adenium, I'm not surprised there is a similarity in the seed pods.

I went out to clean up after the rain and discovered the tips of the triangle are connected rather than a pair of runners. I separated one with fingers.

As suggested, those are seed pods. When ripe, they will dry and split to reveal the seeds.

Thank you, Danita. I'm not interested in saving the seeds, so should I cut them now or is there any reason to leave them? I'm more interested in keeping the plant blooming, so do they take energy away from that?

Tiffany and Danita, thank you. When Tiffany said seed pods I was picturing round pods (which is why I referred to raindrops 🙄), then Danita sent a picture of what as to come. Anyway, the plant has slowed down and now I know why! There were about 15 of them! I cut them all off so I expect to see it thrive again. I'm so glad I found this sight. 😁
