This weed is driving my husband crazy. I believe it is a seasonal weed, though I could be wrong. It clumps similarly to a sedge, and the seeds are sticky.
Any help is appreciated greatly.

I have tried the recommended two applications of post emergent weed killer in spring with no luck. I end up pulling it out of my lawn before flowering and and setting seed for additional plants.
