At the end of this year I have 3 seedlings that are now little plants.
Fingers crossed little ladies!

Mostly I never get anything when I try to cross. Lots of empty pods. Bee pods are empty too. But I actually have one cross that worked. and they've survived benign neglect, i'll just be honest.

This is the Superstition -> Melanie cross.

and C ... may not be Super-Mel. May be a Merry-Madrigal cross with Pleasure's All Mine. We will see, I guess, if it makes it.

All you proud seedling parents, if you have any wisdom, I'd sure like to hear it.

Congrats on getting them this far! The hardest bit is behind you now. Usually once they get to this size you can grow them like the rest of your plants, just with a little bit more TLC/protection from the elements so that they don't get pulled out/blown over.

Thanks!
I think I'm most worried about the dog wagging his tail and hitting one. He took out a mature plant stalk like that once.

Ouch. Could you move the pots somewhere out of his usual paths?

Does such a place exist... That's the first question I need to ask myself. Grin

I'll have to think about it. Along the house, the roof overhang prevents plants from getting much moisture... Maybe I fence a new area off... Thinking

It does get moist when the front flap is zipped down but it has never been a problem. I only zip it about 2/3 of the way down to let some air in. I added the grill in the front so the cover doesn't blow inwards. It is a shelf from another greenhouse. The greenhouse needs to be in a spot that is protected from the wind or anchored down somehow.
