Happy fall, everyone! Those of you that have been in this swap a few times probably remember past trivia and this year it's ba-ack! Rolling my eyes.

Here's how it works, the FIRST person to respond with the correct answer 'wins' that trivia question --and the awe of their peers here in the seed swap Big Grin --and gets to pick which seed packet they want (out of the ones that are left). Below, you'll see the photo of all of the seed options as well as a list of the options. I'll update the list as people make their selections, so make sure to reference the list for what's still available, not the picture. Smiling

So, here's the assortment to choose from:

Thumb of 2022-10-28/DogsNDaylilies/3090c5

Here it is in list form (along with what is/isn't claimed):
Veggies
Bean "Fordhook Lima" - won by NancyRehbock
Cabbage "Copenhagen Market" - won by fb
Cantaloupe "Hales Best" - - won by Johannian
Cauliflower "Purple of Sicily" - won by wildflowers
Celery "Tall Utah"
Collards "Georgia Southern"
Corn "Reids" - won by Joa922010
Eggplant "Black Beauty"
Kale "Blue Scotch" - won by antsinmypants
Okra "Clemson Spineless"
Peas "Oregon Sugar Pod" - won by dnrevel
Pepper "Cali Wonder"
Squash (Summer) "Golden Crookneck" - won by NancyRehbock

Flowers
Aster "Powderpuff Mix" - won by AudreyDee
Bachelor Button "Polka Dot Mix"
Calendula "Pacific Beauty Mix" - won by NancyRehbock
Cosmos "Sensation Mix"
Cornflower "Tall Mixed" - won by Johannian
Foxglove "Digitalis Purpurea" - won by theflowerlady
Hollyhocks "Single Mixed"
Hollyhocks "Alcea"
Phlox "Annual Mixed" - won by bxncbx
Phlox "Pastel Shades Mix" - won by SameOldBrandNew
Zinnia "Thumbelina" - won by ruby_dog
Zinnia "PomPom" (package says "PomPon")

Please remember this is a game! Should a dispute arise, I will make the final determination on whose answer is accurate or most accurate. (Although everyone's always been a good sport in the past, so I don't anticipate any issues. Angel ) Once a winner is determined, that person has roughly a day to make their selection; once the next trivia question goes up and another winner is determined, that next winner starts their chance to claim a prize from what's available, whether or not the first person made their selection.

Please also try not to fill this thread up with off-topic posts since they can make it tough for me to find the responses/answers quickly! Smiling Thumbs up

Most importantly....have FUN!!!!
Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Trivia Question #1

In order to honor the spirit of learning here on garden.org, I decided to have the first night's trivia require a little effort on your part to learn more about.....PUMPKINS!

Read the following garden.org article and tell me which pumpkin in Charlie Nardozzi's list is the LARGEST type of pumpkin!:

Nice job, @SameOldBrandNew and @feebean and @kdlund !

SameOld squeaked in a few moments sooner to claim the very first seed pack prize!

SameOld - you have until tomorrow afternoon to make your selection of which seed pack you would like. Smiling

(Once the next trivia question goes up and a winner is determined, that next winner starts their chance to claim a prize from what's available. I'll add this to the first post so that this is clear for everyone else, too!)

And I thought I was speedy! Great job, SameOld. Unfortunately, I just got back from shopping ten minutes late.

Tonight's post is a little later, but it isn't exactly a first-with-the-answer one, tonight, so you all have some time to participate. :)

TRIVIA 'Question' #2:

(Not so much as a question as an objective...)
Take a picture of something that represents 'Fall' (the season) to you and post it.

Rules:
Pictures must be appropriate, respectful of others, in-focus (the subject of the photo shouldn't be blurry), follow the guideline of representing the Fall season, must be your own pictures that you have taken, etc., etc.... Pictures can not have been previously posted in a past trivia session and must have been taken within the last 3 years (unless the thing that represents 'Fall' to you was intrinsic to a particular moment in the past, a person/creature/thing/etc. at a particular age or point in time that you photographed, or a particular person/creature/thing/etc. whom/which you can no longer photograph).

Deadline for posting your submission: Sunday, October 30 at 5pm ET.

This is a more involved trivia, so I am giving you more time to submit and since it will span two nights, there will be THREE winners. I will be selecting my top 5 or so favorites and then, with the help of my husband's input, we will narrow it down to the top THREE (3) winners for this round. Big Grin (The goal is to have the winners posted by Monday afternoon/evening at the latest.)

Post edited to change the number of winners to 3 (to cover tonight, Saturday, and Sunday). ...and also to say 'Limit of ONE (1) entry per person, please.'

My mom's decorations represent Fall to me (she cut out all the turkeys, gnomes and banner decorations herself):
