I knew that I had a scape coming up on John's Heritage, but had essentially ignored it. Figured that after we had a few frosty nights in late October, that it was history!!!!

But here we are on November 2, in northwest CT with a bloom!! Definitely shorter than the summer version and definitely not as saturated in color, but heck this plant wins the award for thumbing its nose to frosty mornings and winter!!!

Very nice, Heidi! I went to my daughter's last Friday and she had two daylilies blooming. We've had some cool weather up until then, but this weekend the switch was flipped to freezing and about 2" snow. I don't think she will see any more blooms off those scapes.
