This is first year rose Barock from Palatine. The rose was developing very slowly with red canes and not healthy looking leaves. I was thinking it's because of light lacking. Didn't know anything about RRD at that time,just cut the top. The rose was not developed later, new rad canes didn't turn green. Started to figure out what might happened and sent pictures to Master rosarian in my area. She confirmed that it's RRD.
I have removed this rose. Any suggestions how to prevent other roses from infection? They all look good so far. Made a lot of reading, but if you have a story how you managed it, please share!

I wouldn't be sure that what I see in your photo was not just normal young growth.

Looks normal to me too. It may just not have liked that spot.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I got a Hope!!Lady from the local Rose society mentions also non regular thorns. She said that we have a lot of cases in Cincinnati. Now when I am walking and looking at knock out roses, all news red cans are looking suspicious to me.

There are no signs of RRD on the photos you posted. As mentioned above, it's just normal coloration for new leaves.

As far as I understood, it a lot of variations of symptoms, especially at the beginning. I agree that my rose looks doubtful, but I saw on knock out roses in my neighborhood exactly like in this picture from this site.

I hope it's not, Elena. I have wondered if you see RRD starting on one stem, can the rose be saved by pruning off that entire stem rather than pulling the entire plant.

It was an illustration of the first phase of RRD. Really hard to distinct.
In my case the red color did not go away and I have cut it, what you see is the second grow was still reddish in November.
