In my opinion Gold Helmet is one of the best daylilies around. Big flowers on tall, sturdy scapes. Not fussy, good increaser and strong fragrance especially on hot & humid days. It gives me lots of bright color later in the season when I need it.

I've gotten seedlings from it when crossed with South Seas. All have the plant habit of GH although the fans are somewhat smaller. The fragrance isn't as pronounced also but it is there. All the seedlings take after SS in terms of bloom time as they bloom earlier than GH.

If you get the chance to own Gold Helmet I'd definitely buy it. It will not disappoint you!
