I have just had a look at your genus Brugmansia and all the species for the cultivars are all wrong
most if not all are Brugmansia arborea, how ever they are not so, almost 99% of the cultivars are hybrids and have multiple species involved. with most being from what is known as the warm group and in this group more then half will be in the breeding family Cubensis
please see listing on Brugmansia Growers International website supplied
https://www.brugmansia.us/hybr...
i have been assisting BGI for many years and find the information on your site misleading

I can see how this happened. It appears that all of the 50 or 60 cultivars now listed as B. arborea were previously listed as Brugmansia x candida, a hybrid taxon denoting a cross of B. aurea x B. versicolor. Brugmansia candida is now a synonym for B. arborea.

@zuzu if I need to make a mass update to some of them, please let me know and I'll be happy to do it.

Thanks, Dave. Our information seems clear to me, but if there are going to be arguments about it, it might be best to remove the species names and synonyms from the entries for cultivars currently listed as Brugmansia arborea in our database.

https://garden.org/plants/sear...

Once they're listed simply as Brugmansia, without a species, anyone with credible parentage information can propose its addition.

@zuzu I'm sorry that I missed your response until now, but I have done this work.

Plants where genus is Brugmansia and species is arborea and cultivar is not blank: 50 plants were found. For those 50 plants, the synonym was removed and the accepted name was set to Brugmansia with no species.
