My screen savers/wallpapers are not as classy as y'all's.
I use photos from day to day life. Pets, plants, photos of loved ones. They tend to make me smile when I see them at work, at home or on the phone.
"Each to their own."
I'm a Honda CRV snob, as they are "bulletproof."
When I took early retirement, I'd had a Honda Civic LSI for three years and I decided to treat myself to a Honda Prelude.
So I took my wife to the Honda showroom to look at one.
She looked at it and said "It's a head banger," as she called all low roofed cars as with her MS she found them difficult to enter.
She said, "I'd never be able to get in it, but I could get in that," indicating the CRV behind it. A model I'd not seen before.
We took a test drive, I was impressed, so I ordered one. They had to come from Japan at that time, so delivery took two months.
This was "Brucie" as he was Spruce Green. He was the first, (1998) as on the rare occasion you might see another on the road, "everyone waved." We had him for seven years. When we traded him in, he was on the lot for weeks in front of the Honda showrooms on the main road into Manchester. We used to pass him on our weekly trip in and wave to him. Then suddenly he was gone!
Over the years, I occasionally checked his progress on the MOT site. He passed his MOT every year with "everything right" until 2018, when "everything was wrong." So he must have been scrapped.
He was replaced by "Rhonda the Honda,"
We've had her for seventeen years, I'm now only doing a couple of thousand miles a year, as now my wife doesn't travel well.
Everything works, so there's no point in changing. She's just passed her MOT.
