If you can contact these people they may be able to help you. Long time breeders usually have a lot of connections, especially since they may want to get new plant material to work with to enhance their hybridizing programs.

I used to grow a lot of Japanese irises and dabbled a bit in breeding; had a pretty nice collection at one time. I still have a few of my favorites.
