I would like to know this iris's name. It will be an older one. I got it from a friend who's had it forever. White upright petals and purple falls. Not very frilly.

Sorry but it is not that easy to accurately name bearded Iris.
Into the calculation has to be put height..tall or short and time of flowering.
Fragrance comes in to it as well.

Additionally colours can be subtly different in images.

You might like to consider these...just suggestions.

Iris Wabash is stunning...such a rich colour.

Mrs. Andrist is 22 inches tall, kind of a shorty. Like Silversurfer mentioned, knowing more details would help, as there are many in that color.

Mrs. Andrist looks likely. To tell for sure, order a known Ms. Andrist to plant for comparison.

This iris is blooming again right now, and I am confident that it is Ms. Andrist. I'd like to thank everyone who gave me suggestions. With so many irises out there it's a daunting task to start searching.
