Charlotte, NC (Zone 7b)
Living in 7b. Have Bermuda. Plan to overseed in the coming spring.
Question, how do I control weeds? Most of them are broadleaf weeds.

Some people suggest pre-gemination type of weed killer, not sure if it will prevent Bermuda from germinating as well?

Thanks

Don't use a pre-emergent before you reseed the Bermuda. It will kill the Bermuda too. Wait until you've mown at least 3 times to start using herbicides. Be careful what you use since Bermuda is sensitive to 2,4-D.

Pre-emergents usually (at least the ones I've looked at) say on the bag somewhere how long to wait before seeding. Some last longer than others so its best to check the one you purchase.
