I love both roses and am ordering one soon. Love, love, love the delicacy of S.d.s.A and the beautiful bloom of M.E. Anyone grow these and if you could comment I'd sure appreciate any information on either or both of these. Sticking tongue out

I have SdSA, her blooms aren't showy at all but the fragrance is to DIE for! I have one in a pot and I planted another in the ground last fall. Her fragrance is as strong and lovely as that of Jardins de Bagatelle.
Madame Ernest Calvat is supposedly a climber.

Thank you, Jackie. You just made up my mind for me. I don't have room for a climber and although M. Calvat's blooms are just gorgeous compared to St. Anne's I do love how delicate she looks when her blooms are opening. Thank You!

I think you will enjoy Souvenir de St Anne's. That rose blooms A LOT, whereas Madame Ernst Calvat, as a sport of Madame Issac Pereire, probably blooms less (I had MIP and it saved up for those flushes of big blooms, whereas SdSA has simpler blooms so maybe it can afford to bloom more?) The flowers of SdSA are charming, and bees love it.

Thank you, KSPNW, for the lovely pics of her and your comments. I fell in love with how delicately her bud opens and since I'm crazy about highly scented roses I wanted her for sometime. I ordered her last week from Antique Rose Emporium and I can't wait to get her planted and see her beautiful flowers.
