Grape Magic has been in my garden since 2018. I have never measured the plant though I think it may be slightly taller than the 20" recorded in its specifications. Bloom is easily 4 to 5"; it began to bloom in early July, this year FFO was around July 5th and bloom continued into mid-August, LFO this year was August 16th. It's a great complement to all other colors and goes very well in the front of my bed.

I planted Grape Magic in 2020 and had a nice show from it in 2021. But there was no sign of it in 2022. Not sure if it was taking a break or decided to die. I'll find out next summer…

In 2021, GM bloomed sporadically from July 21 to October 2. A cute front of the border plant, nice color.

Grape Magic has been in MI bed since new in 2020. One of the historical collection @ 46+ yrs old
2021: FFO 7/21 one of the last to bloom of my plants. 4" x 27" 18 buds x 3 branches best scape
2022: FFO 7/24 an earlier relative bloom date. Size data not taken, 13 buds x 3 branches. At least 6 scapes so maybe needs division?
I don't have any bloom period duration data
Foto above 2022
Edit to add: pod & pollen fertile. I have a few new baby seedlings from Little Grapette pollen. They should bloom purple😉
Life is better at the lake.

I rescued GM last year from the Walmart Garden center barely alive.
Planted it no bigger than a tiny seedling, struggles but survived. Planted it in my main garden. Will be interesting to see what it does this year.
