I replanted some of last year's 'blushing impression' tulip bulbs that I thought were big enough for another season, and they came up as a completely different color!

They went from a light apricot/pink combination to bright california poppy orange. A bit of broken color too.

I'm not complaining (I was happy to get a second year out of them), it was just unexpected.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Oh! That would make sense. The weather has been pretty all over the place in California this year. We had a few weeks of unseasonably warm rain followed by unusual cold.
