My Dahlias are up 12 inches or so. I have pinched them back. This morning i noticed something eating small hole in the leaves. i believe it is Aphids. Can anyone recommend something to get rid of them?

That sounds more like caterpillar damage. They are usually hard to see because they stay on the bottom of a leaf and may blend in very well.

You can try an insecticidal soap or mix your own using 2 tblsp dawn to one gallon of water.

I'm not sure if aphids eat holes in the leaves. Earwigs are sometimes a problem here. I dust the leaves with diatomaceous earth. The coarseness of the powder supposedly tears their soft bodies and I believe it also dries out their insides when they eat it on the leaves.
