Hi friends. Is there a way you'd recommend I remove ligustrum seedlings other than having to pull them one-by-one? I mean they're easy to pull and it's kind of satisfying when they come up, but who has time for that?

It would probably be easier to just mow under them, not try to garden. If you nick one of the roots while digging a little hole for something else, the root will make suckers that do not pull up easily and 10 mins after you pull them up, new ones will sprout.
The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.

I think you are going to have to pull them. If its the Ligustrum that comes up everywhere around here, roundup won't kill them.

Privet pulls pretty easily... But as small as those are, I'd probably wait until they got large enough to get a comfortable grip... It can cause some cramping, trying to pull stuff with two fingers...

Have you tried a nice thick mulch?

@stone I have really neglected mulching. I wondered if that might be a way to prevent these things from growing in such quantities every year. Also, I def can try putting mulch over them to see if it damps them off.

Thanks for the suggestions!
