Hi, some nursery sold this plant to me saying that this is a different type of rosemary and it would start having the smell of rosemary after 6 months after the plant grows. I am not sure if that is true. Can you please help identify this plant? Thanks.

I don't profess to know every rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus) there is, but it's a distinctive plant, generally. That doesn't resemble any rosemary I've ever seen. Plus, even the smallest rosemary seedlings have a distinct scent.

I think you got fed a tall tale ☹️ . Apologies, I can't offer any better suggestions than Tiffany.
