I admittedly didn't think this through, but I have 20 wild ramp bulbs arriving today. They like partial to full shade. I'm not sure where I'm going to put them. I was thinking about under the big holly in front, behind the concrete bench. But,I don't know if they'll get enough moisture to survive.

What about somewhere near your new water feature? You could water them any time you added water to it. Or try 5 by the holly and put the other 5 into a big container (with or without other plants), either with a wick and a saucer (with mosquito bits) or use a container with a self-watering reservoir base. The container would be for backup, in case the holly location doesn't work out, and would let you "hold" them while you work on the water feature and pergola.

Put them in your back yard under your big trees, sort of woody area. In the shade. I love those ramps----I usually get them from the Farmers' Market, but this year I have not been there at all. They are so delicious.
