Got this nice start of the Teacups from a friend. She just calls it "my teacups".
Can anyone please tell me if it is Alocasia, or Colocasia.
Can I plant it in my pond? Or would beside the pond work better? How big will it get?

Colocasia. If its roots have something to attach to, in the pond works. It will probably spread with floating plants all attached by adventitious roots. Scratch that. It WILL spread with floating plants.

Ah, great info, thanks Andrew.
I think I'll have to pot it and keep it outside my tiny 3ft x 12ft pond then. Can't have it taking over!

Ah ha! Thanks Evan. I looked it up under Colocasia 'Tea Cups' and didn't find it.

Your welcome Elaine. Try again as Tea Cups should work.
